What is ClaireSight?+
ClaireSight is a privacy-first platform that connects people who need dashcam footage with drivers who have it. Think of it as a marketplace for dashcam video evidence — useful for accident claims, insurance, journalism, and rare event documentation.
How does it work?+
A requester drops a pin on the map specifying the location, time, and a bounty reward. Dashcam drivers who have footage from that area and time can upload a clip. The requester previews it, and if satisfied, the payment is released from escrow.
Is my location tracked?+
Never. We don't track where you drive. Your location is only stored locally on your device. Footage is only shared when you explicitly choose to upload it.
How are payments handled?+
All payments are processed through Stripe and held in escrow for 7 days. This gives requesters time to review footage and file a dispute if needed. After the dispute window closes, funds are released to the driver.
What prevents misuse?+
Multiple safeguards: requests are rate-limited, incidents must be 1–72 hours old (no real-time tracking), geographic overlap detection flags stalking patterns, and every request requires a stated purpose.
